Castle Combe

Circuit Summary

Since its opening in 1950, some of the most famous names in motor racing have left their tyre tracks around Castle Combe's challenging tarmac, including drivers like Moss, Salvadori, Mansell, Senna, Surtees, Hill and Coulthard. Marques like BRM, Ferrari, Vanwall, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Lotus have thrilled the crowds. The track's 1.8 miles are regarded as having some of the most challenging corners in British Motorsport. Once visitors arrive they find first class facilities in an attractive park-like setting. Some 15,000 lorry loads of earth have been landscaped into fine viewing areas all around the circuit. Tarmac roads allow easy vehicle movement around the circuit's 240 acre site. Castle Combe are proud of their location and have added to its visual impact with a massive planting scheme. Castle Combe is high in speed and high in action. The track is a good length at nearly two miles and viewing is plentiful with banking at most points. Castle Combe gets booked very quickly so plenty of time should be allowed to reserve a space.
